Nakheel

Established in the early 2000s. Headquarters: Dubai

Nakheel is a Dubai-based master developer and member of Dubai Holding, best known for creating Palm Jumeirah and extending Dubai's coastline through large-scale waterfront reclamation. Its portfolio spans master communities, residential districts, retail and leisure assets across Dubai, including Palm Jebel Ali, Dubai Islands, District One and Al Furjan. The company manages developments from land reclamation through construction, sales and ongoing community operation.

Why buyers look at Nakheel

  • Created Palm Jumeirah, the large-scale artificial island development that added substantial new coastline to Dubai
  • Delivers large master communities that combine residential, retail and leisure elements in one development, e.g. Dubai Islands, District One and Al Furjan
  • Runs its own retail and hospitality/leisure arms (Nakheel Malls, Nakheel Hospitality & Leisure) alongside residential development
  • Backed by Dubai Holding, giving it the scale to run several large waterfront and inland master-plans at once, including the ongoing Palm Jebel Ali villa programme
